To support our strategic growth initiatives, we are looking for a Junior Business Development Manager (m/f/d) to join our Business Development team.

The Role & Responsibilities

In this role you will contribute to the identification and development of new growth opportunities in global industrial coatings markets. Working closely with the Head of Business Development, you´ll support strategic initiatives, evaluate new market opportunities and contribute to the expansion of our international business.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Analyze global industrial coatings markets and identify emerging opportunities
  • Contribute to the development of business cases and strategic growth initiatives
  • Take responsibility for preparing decision-ready business cases
  • Support the evaluation of new applications, technologies and market segments
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, Marketing and R&D on projects

 

Your Profile

  • University degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field with focus on chemical or materials science
  • 1–3 years of professional experience, ideally in:
  • Chemical industry e.g. Paints, Coatings and Adhesives
  • Production, Application Technology or Technical Service
  • Industrial Process Improvement or Technical Project Management
  • Formulation Development, Scale-up or Process Optimization
  • Market Analysis and application development

 

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Interest in industrial markets and technical products
  • Ability to structure complex information and translate insights into actionable recommendations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Fluent in German (Level C1) and English (Level B2)
  • Willingness to travel internationally, including extended business trips when required
  • Experience in the chemical or coatings industry is considered a plus
